Tracy Wong
Classical Pianist | music & career coaching
Technique & Artistry
$20
Hello! I am a classically trained pianist, currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. While my priority (and first love!) is music, I've also spent a lot of my time in academia dedicated to enhancing my teaching and performance with related industries. As such, I also hold a BA in psychology and minor concentrations in business, entrepreneurship, music education, and arts leadership.
About performance: I made my orchestral debut with the Saint Petersburg State Symphony in Russia at the age of nine (I know, I was that kid) and have gone on to perform with many orchestras across the US, including the Louisville Symphony and the Chicago Ars Viva Symphony. My awards include first place at the Cincinnati World Piano Competition, grand prize at the Delta Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, and the Joseph Shelhardt Award at the Hellam Young Artist Competition. As a soloist, I have played at Lincoln Center, the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, and Carnegie Hall. All this is a very long-winded way of saying: I've been doing this for a very long time, and I hope to have insightful things to say if you have questions about artistry, technique, learning process, memorization, or anything else related to the piano.
About all the things outside performance: I've made it my mission to broaden access to music-- the classical world can be very narrow but there's no doubt that the training and knowledge that it has can benefit any musician in any genre. Some organizations that I have worked with in service of this goal include National Public Radio's "From the Top," the San Francisco Opera Education Department, and the Pasadena Symphony & Pops. I'm grateful for stepping into the world of business, nonprofits, and entrepreneurship and the comprehensive view it's given me on what's expected and needed of musicians today. If you've ever wondered what musicians can do to actually monetize their careers, how to use social media to further your artistic brand, or even what options there are out there for career (and what you need to prepare in order to get there!), I would love to offer support.

Kyle Griffith
Composer / Saxophonist / Pianist
Music Review and Feedback
$50
I am a Seattle-based music composer for video games, a piano teacher, and a saxophone performer for numerous bands and local DJs. I have a critical ear and a strong motivation to see other musicians succeed in expressing the best versions of their work. I'm detail-oriented, which sometimes leads to the issue of perfectionism. However, in the realm of constructive criticism, I believe my conscientious ear is quite useful.
I obtained my Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition-Theory from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as well as my Master of Music degree in Music Composition for Film from the Seattle Film Institute. Alongside my many years as a freelance composer, performer, and teacher, my schooling gives credence to my ability to explain melodic, harmonic, rhythmic, and formal concepts with the proper terminology. I can communicate these ideas to help refine any musical product, both compositionally as well as in the production stage.

Thomas Dawkins
Vocal Coach / Music Coach
Recorder Feedback
$30
Thomas Dawkins, a distinguished graduate of Brandeis University, achieved the highest honors in Music and was awarded the inaugural Ira Gershwin Prize for his exceptional music performance. Throughout his diverse career, teaching has remained a fundamental part of his musical identity. With a straightforward teaching philosophy, he welcomes anyone with a sincere aspiration to improve and work diligently.
Musicians often have a team of teachers and coaches to rely on, but sometimes they encounter problems without clear solutions. Seeking a fresh perspective from someone new can be a game-changer, not necessarily because they are more skilled, but because they offer a different approach. Asking specific questions and receiving direct answers can unlock success where others have struggled.
Thomas served as the Music Director of the Congregational Church of Harvard, UCC, for around 11 years. Previously, he worked as a substitute organist at St. Peter's Church of Weston, Follen Church of Lexington, Temple B'nai Torah of Sudbury, and Boston Jewish Spirit. He also worked at the Longy School of Music as a piano accompanist and vocal coach for several years. Thomas has coached for various organizations, including New England Light Opera, Opera Brittenica, Opera on Tap, and Greater Worcester Opera. His former clients have performed at renowned venues such as San Francisco Opera, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center.
The keyboardist has performed with Boston orchestras and at the Newton Free Library. His recording of Chopin's "Raindrop" Prelude was featured on the Carnegie Hall education website in 2014. He also appeared on four episodes of the NPR radio game show Says You! in 2016. As a baritone chorister, he sang with various ensembles, including the Boston Baroque and the Handel + Haydn Society of Boston (featured on five recordings). He also contributed to the soundtracks of Final Fantasy XV and Hans Zimmer Live. In addition, he has sung opera and oratorio with Boston-area groups.
